New recipe -Lavender Coffee
Lavender! Not just for macaroons
(Though if you want to make these too go here- http://www.diaryofamadhausfrau.com/2011/08/lavender-macarons-with-orchid.html?m=1)
Step one : make a pot of coffee using keurig or whatever you use
Step two : get dried lavender leaves or some form of lavender tea and put it in a coffee filter
( how much you use depends on your coffee, generally 2 teaspoons per 6 ounces of water is what is called for looseleaf tea- but I use 1 tablespoon/6 oz)
Step Three: place the coffee filter filled with lavender leaves in to your coffee ,
(tip: you want to secure the filter at the top by wrapping a rubber band around it)
Step four: take out the lavender leaves after two minutes
Bam! You now have Lavender infused coffee that tastes delicious- add cream and sugar or whatever you usually do to coffee, unless you usually add peppermint flavored creamer or some weird flavor that doesn't go good with lavendar
Alternative route:
Add the lavendar straight to your coffee grounds in your French press or Mr.Coffee. I used a keurig so I couldn't do this, but it saves a step for those who are using fresh grounds.
Experiment, and have fun!
