Fakers gonna Fake, Haters gonna Hate, I'm just gonna shake...

Image
Has anyone ever stopped and noticed how our culture promotes this "fake nice" especially in the workplace and especially with women in general. It's like we are encouraged to act like we like everyone as if that is true kindness when it isn't. We are told that a real lady doesn't directly express her thoughts or opinions, but sugar coats everything for others benefit. First of all I don't understand how people can't learn to accept everyone. Even if you aren't fond of someone, it's easy to accept and love them because they are human. Unless they actually do something terrible and inhuman to you or another person, in that case yeah they are a garbage human, but if they are just weird or rub you the wrong way because they aren't just like you and your friends, who by the way were hand selected by you because they are just like you (science), then you can learn to accept and love that person and let them be. Let them be doesn't mean you ...

BTV Media Player Scam?

Image
The following article does not condone piracy, but just for fun. The following article actually isn't about piracy, but it does come into play. Read on to see why we are really here.  A friend of mine shared an article with me recently that I was drawn to because it made some shocking claims about Legacy Direct, a company I invested in. The company sells media players which are basically devices for your TV similar to Roku or Apple TV which turn your TV into a smart TV and allow you to access multiple apps and tv/movie streaming. Some streaming is paid for like Netflix and Hulu, while other streaming is free by connecting users to online content from various hosting sites. Basically it allows you to get all your shows and movies on one source without having to download things (legally or illegally) on a computer then transfer to your tv or separately log in to your many tv streaming sites. Everything is streamlined to one place.  There is a danger ...

Are any diets reliable? My adventure in researching the most hailed and obsessive diets out there.

Image
How do you know what diet to choose if every diet out there seems to be obsessed over by the media one week and totally debunked the next ?  WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW ABOUT A HEALTHY DIET? Well I spent several (won't embarrass my self with the exact number ) hours researching, reading books, watching videos, looking at studies and various blogs and I found, you can't really trust any of them (diets). In the end the only reason any of them worked is because people were benefitting from the simple acts of exercising more, eating less calories and trying to be healthy. It didn't actually matter what method they took so much, as long as they met those basics. Furthermore, some diets, like veganism, which cut out many items totally, could be unhealthy if the nutrients removed were not carefully replaced.  A brief look at the many diets suggested to me. Aka. My adventure in researching: Based on the several popular you tubers, studies and books like "Forks over Knives", my...

Let it Go

Image
Forgetting the past is different than letting go Forgetting tries to ignore having thoughts about the past in order to avoid negative emotions that might come with remembrance Letting go is accepting what happened Forgiving those who were involved or to blame  Choosing not to do well in anger or sadness even if the situation allowed you to have a right to feel that way Deciding to take what you can and learn from the situation Or at the very least exciting you would never make the same mistake again Or if it was something that was done to you you can use that situation for good by being an influence and help others You can be a advocate for people who experience the same pages you You can spread important information and support for others who may not be aware You can use the memory of past pain to inspire you to be a better person And to determine what kind of character you want to develop Forgetting never faces the fax and never allows the pe...

Finding My Adventure in the Great Wide Somewhere

Three years ago at my first Biola Missions conference I poured out my heart to God and told him " Lord , here I am, I will go anywhere and do anything for you, but I don't know where it is you want me to go." I remember feeling so anxious and overwhelmed with the angst one feels when they are waiting for something they desire above all; their calling. I wondered why God wouldn't just tell me and I as frustrated because I was ready and willing to move mountains. That was then. Now it is my fourth Missions Conference and I joyfully proclaim that I have found my calling. God is leading me to be a teacher and after I graduate I will leave to teach English in China. I still feel overwhelmed but now I am overwhelmed with joy because I could never have imagined God's calling to be so perfect and wonderful. Like many Christians I imagined God would send me somewhere unbearably difficult and un-fun. If I surrendered he would send me to some 3rd world country where I'd ...

You Can't Throw E-Paper Away

Image
The first thing I ever wrote for the public was thrown into a trash can.  It was the vicious years of middle school where innocent children became raging wolves seeking to devour whichever kids stand in the way of their claim to the popularity pool. At first everyone wanted a copy of my new "cool" school newsletter, I ran out in a matter of minutes, but then I soon found them being tossed aside like I didn't put hours of labor into their polished production. A couple boys even had the audacity to call my name and then throw the paper away before my very eyes as I turned to look. Vicious animals, so uncivilized. True human nature in its uncontained form , thy name is Middle School. Most little girls would cry at this point in the story, but I was a brave little writer in training. "Why would anyone want a paper just so they could waste it? " I thought.  If you don't like it, fine, but at least give it back for recycling. Boys can be so immature! That's a ...
