Adventure Time! Finding the Best Coffee in San Diego

My husband and I wanted to spend our Saturday doing something different so we decided to find the best coffee shops in San Diego and visit as many as we could in one half day. We reviewed the top 10 lists of coffee shops in different areas of San Diego county as well as Yelp reviews and then chose the most unique and highest rated to visit. We only got to about 4 when our heads started exploding with caffeine so we will have to continue to find the best another day. So far we found that San Diego has some pretty cool coffee shops out there. New recipe -Lavender Coffee

Lavender! Not just for macaroons (Though if you want to make these too go here- http://www.diaryofamadhausfrau.com/2011/08/lavender-macarons-with-orchid.html?m=1) This isn't going to be any longer than needs to be because it's quite simple. Step one : make a pot of coffee using keurig or whatever you use  Step two : get dried lavender leaves or some form of lavender tea and put it in a coffee filter  ( how much you use depends on your coffee, generally 2 teaspoons per 6 ounces of water is what is called for looseleaf tea- but I use 1 tablespoon/6 oz) Step Three: place the coffee filter filled with lavender leaves in to your coffee ,  (tip: you want to secure the filter at the top by wrapping a rubber band around it) Step four: take out the lavender leaves after two minutes Bam!
